Six Six One Droid Views
In development for 3 years, the SixSixOne Droid is a design not like any other, with the neck brace being built into the chest protector. It comes with three different size blocks for the back and the sides to be able to adjust it to be higher or lower. The front is a two-piece with a hinge for comfort and there is biofoam padding underneath like a traditional chest protector. The Droid also gives a choice of attaching the back piece or not, depending on personal preference.
The SixSixOne Droid is the same basic principle as other neck braces available now, with the focus on preventing the helmet from bottoming out and stopping hyperextension. The difference with the Droid is when force is applied to the landing pads, it is transferred throughout the whole upper torso instead of just targeted areas of the chest and upper back. This is considered to be a big benefit from a safety perspective.
The Droid was designed with ideas from a rider rs"s perspective. Those who have first hand knowledge of what is comfortable, and what areas needed protection. Extensively tested in the field and load tested done by computer simulation, SixSixOne is coming to market with a reasonably priced solution to a lot of the existing problems. Aside from the safety benefits, there are also no more concerns about the inconvenience of ald"will the brace fit with my chest protector?xrd" as with the other neck braces and chest protectors that are developed by two different companies.
