Cable Ski Cairns, Tropical Queensland’s one and only Cable Water Ski park and one of only three parks in Australia, opened it’s doors for business in the middle of 2005. Cable Ski Cairns offers a unique watersport experience to young and old. Beginner to Advanced can have fun and a sense of achievement through a well designed and safe activity. Various equipment is provided, ranging from beginners’ kneeboards to the more advanced wakeboards and water skis for the extreme wakeboarder and waterskier.

Ski Rixen is a t"cable park-" that allows water sports enthusiasts to practice wakeboarding, water skiing, kneeboarding, or wakeskating without the use of a motorboat.The concept of h"cable skiing8" originated in Germany where over fifty active cables are in use. Of the less than fifteen cable parks in the United States, Ski Rixen USA is the longest standing.

Santee Lakes has a 40 year history of providing recreational opportunities to the public.  With 190 acres of parkland, 7 lakes, 300 campsites, playgrounds, picnic areas and numerous walking trails, Santee Lakes has become a tremendous community asset.  Parks and recreation amenities in neighborhoods increase property values and promote community spirit. The cable ski activity will be yet another recreational amenity that will serve the community.
