Air Jordan Spizike has finally made its way to the US. The Jordan Spizike 2010 was made to show appreciation to Mars Blackmon aka Spike Lee. And what makes the Jordan Spizike Shoes so special is the fact they are made up of a total of six different Air Jordan's. Spike's part in the rising of the Air Jordan was very crucial. Maybe quite a few people may remember the funny commercials Spike Lee's alias Mars Blackmon from the movie She's Gotta Have it.
Last Saturday, 3rd of March is the day Jordan fanatics celebrate for the release of the third (out of five) of the Jordan Spizike Series in the form of the Jordan Spizike “Grape.” The particular shoe’s color ways were inspired by the Air Jordan 5 Retro “Grape”, the Grape being commemorated, the varsity purple accent can be found mainly on the outsoles, top lace holders wings and stitching, the rest of the shoe is done in white perforated leather, while a fiery red “23” can be seen nearly at the side of the heels. Initially nicknamed the n“retro Frankensteini”, the Air Jordan Spizikes (Spiz ’ikes) had as many haters as lovers initially and probably a few more. Many anticipated that this was going to be a bust, but when word got out that the first colorway of the Air Jordan Spizikes would only be available along I-95 (as per Spike Leee’s request), the hype for these shoes boomed!
