This cartoon is often featured on Cartoon Network during the Halloween season. It features the voice of Leonard Nimoy as the children's guide, Mr. Moundshroud. Ray Bradbury himself provided the voice of the Narrator, and won an Emmy Award for writing the special's screenplay. The film changes the novel's group of night travelers from eight boys to three boys and a girl. A longer limited edition author's preferred text of the novel was published in 2005, which included the screenplay.[1]

1-10:30 p.m.: Nine-and-a-Half Hour Halloween Marathon — As kids get ready to hit the streets to trick-or-treat, Cartoon Network sets the mood with a nine-and-a-half hour marathon of Halloween programming, starting at 1 p.m. With airings of Casper and Scary Godmothera’s Halloween Spooktakular, the frights will continue long after the last doorbell has been rung and the candy has been divided and counted.

Cartoon Network Halloween 2: Grossest Halloween Ever is a DVD release for various Cartoon Network shows. It includes halloween themed episodes from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Codename: Kids Next Door, Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, I Am Weasel and Ed, Edd n Eddy, with each show having 1 episode except Courage having 2 for a total of 9 episodes. The DVD was first released in the US on August 9, 2005. The following information applies to the Region 1 US DVD release.
