It has been eleven years since the DSP-A2070 was made. It was succeeded by the Yamaha DSP-A3090, also highly regarded. The A-3090 was basically a 2070 unit with some additional memory to compensate for the Tri-Field Processing which was added to Dolby AC-3 surround (later known as Dolby Digital). Otherwise, features were vitrually identical to the A2070.
