Summary: The first thing I noticed was that my Y550 was returned with scratch marks across the top cover (the finger prints I could deal with but common, really, did they repair this on a bed of nails or what ?) But what really shocked me was when I discovered that they replaced the motherboard with a downgraded processor and graphics board. If the same board wasn't available, at least have the decency to upgrade, but don't try to pull the wool over my eyes ! It's going back to Texas today - hope they don't screw it up even more. This one will be sold for a loss on eBay as soon as I get it back. Sorry I didn't go for a ThinkPad or HP instead.
Yes. The picture is of Y650. Should still have Desktop Navigator though.Just shipped a Y530 405167U for $494.10 +tx and free shipping. Plus $15 fatwallet cash back. T6400 3gb ddr3, 250gb HDWould have liked the new Y550 with the 16:9 screen. Its much nicer looking. Not worth the extra $275+ though. If I was going to spend that much I would get a studio 17 with a 1900x1200 screen.I almost bought a Vostro a860 with a C2D, but it lacked HDMI out and had inferior parts in every category. Was about $76 less though.
