Wired Network Adapters Views

The network adapter still isn't showing up in my network connections. I opened up device manager and in the network adapters section there is my linksys card and something called ."SMC EZ Card 10/100 PCI ". I'm guessing that is my wired network adapter. Should I uninstall that and restart the computer?
