Vintage Tupperware Views
The spice containers come in a set of four which are stackable. I have two sets but one has seen better days! I think they are 70's. As I am collecting vintage tupperware, I have yet to find a great site that can date all the tupperware. I am trying to collect old catalogues (but they are expensive on ebay!) and so for I am plodding along at the guessing game.
What a great pleasure it is for me today to take us back in time to 1973. The vintage item today is a small booklet titled 'Always something fresh from your freezer'. This booklet was produced by the Good Housekeeping Institute in association with The Tupperware Company. It is the copyright of National Magazine Co. Ltd and was printed by Sun Printers, Watford, England. Here are a few quotes and pictures etc...
The aim of 'Vintage Tupperware Thursday' (vtt for short) is to try and get us rooting through our cupboards and drawers (maybe some of you will have to look in the loft!) for items of vintage tupperware. Each Thursday, we post a picture (if possible) of a piece of our vintage tupperware on our blogs. We say why we love, use or like it and then comment on each others blogs. Does that make sense? I think it does!
This is one of my favorite vintage tupperware items - yes I know it is only a spatula - but it is a lovely spatula which was given to me by a really nice lady called Helen from Chester. She was one of the first parties that I sold tupperware at. Her cupboards and drawers were stacked to the brim of tupperware (all neatly orgainised). I'd never seen so much tupperware and her friends confirmed she used it every day. As Helen was the hostess for the evening, she made cakes for everyone....which were very delicious and moist as they were kept in.... tupperware cake boxes!
