BOSTON, MA – January 26, 2009 – Simone Legno, creator of the iconic fashion brand tokidoki, has created a special-edition his and hers Valentine’s Day collaboration with Mimoco. Adios and Ciao Ciao, Legno’s beloved pair of cute grim reaper characters, will be morphed onto Mimoco’s MIMOBOT designer USB flash drive platform in romantic-yet-hardcore black and pink colorways. The memory drives are available in 2GB to 16GB capacities and come preloaded with exclusive tokidoki-themed wallpapers, screensavers, and icons.
The first tokidoki MIMOBOT collection debuted in April 2008 and has since represented a crossover in the worlds of pop fashion and consumer electronics. The series consists of three characters, including a pirate, a demonic chef, and Meletta, the plucky young lass with a monkey on her head. Representing Mimoco’s first venture into the fashion world, the series has gained a loyal following from both the tokidoki and MIMOBOT camps alike.
Boston-based Mimoco is the company behind the MIMOBOT collection of designer USB flash drives, the first character-based flash drives to successfully blend the worlds of consumer electronics, designer toys, and pop culture. In addition to the tokidoki series, MIMOBOT flash drives have been created in conjunction with several influential pop-artists, pop-culture goliaths like Star Wars and Hello Kitty. Each MIMOBOT flash drive comes preloaded with exclusive multimedia content, including the latest issue of Mimoco’s mimoZine™ Video Magazine, a digital look into the worlds of music, art, fashion, the environment, and more.
