The Swamp Critters of Lost Lagoon was a 1995 American children's television series created by Bobby Goldsboro. Targeted for children aged 2 to 6, the show featured characters brought to life by actors. Goldsboro wrote the scripts and music, played all the instruments, and even did all the character voices for the show.[1] The show aired on PBS and The Learning Channel and, according to the show's website, currently airs on Dish Network and the America One Television Network.[2]

Each music-filled episode of /#x22;The Swamp Critters Of Lost Lagoonm#x22; centers around the antics and problems faced by critter cast Billy Bob Possum, frog Ribbit E. Lee, armadillo Ima Dilla, Joe Raccoon, Big Al Gator and Gumbo The Fiddler Crab. These live-action, costumed characters, the members of #x27;The Swamp Critters Bandt#x27;, live and play music in their critter-town of Lost Lagoon. Their frequent co-star is Phinneas Phatrat, the resident bad-boy. As they experience everyday life, the critters learn about values, virtues, emotions and issues including friendship, charity, kindness, acceptance of differences, conservation and pollution. Along the way, they are introduced to a variety of musical styles such as blues, cajun, classical, country, disco, dixieland, jazz and rock =#x27;nn#x27; roll. Bobby Goldsboro's The Swamp Critters Of Lost Lagoon is an educational, wholesome, musical, live-action, children's television series. The stars of the show are swamp critters Billy Bob Possum, Ribbit E. Lee, Ima Dilla, Gumbo The Fiddler Crab, Joe Raccoon and Big Al Gator. They all live in Lost Lagoon. They are often joined in their adventures by resident bad-boy Phinneas Phatrat and many guest stars. Some of the critters sing and play in The Swamp Critters Band. Ribbit pounds the drums, Billy Bob plays bass, Big Al plays the piano and accordion, Joe strums guitar and plays harmonica, and Gumbo fiddles. Ima Dilla dances, sings and plays tambourine. With a Bobby Goldsboro soundtrack and clever and witty dialogue, the show is appealing to both children and adults.
