About half of all car manufacturers still use drum style rear brakes. Drum brakes are not as efficient as disc brake systems but, drum brakes are easily produced and can be used on the rear of a vehicle since only about 30% of the braking is performed by the rear brakes. Rear brake shoes are more difficult to service when worn and may require special tools to service. Rear brake shoes performance is more affected by water and rain; the braking ability is greatly compromised. Full braking ability will not return until fully dry.
Description: This recall involves the Buster Brown Co.
Proper brake care helps ensure your vehicle's safety. According to 2 Car Pros, more than half of car manufacturers still use drum-style rear brakes as of 2010. Worn brake shoes can lead to brake failure and, potentially, a serious accident. When you notice a squealing or pulsing coming from your rear wheels when braking, inspect your brake shoes. If the brake shoes are worn down to 1/8 inch or less, replace them.
We use jute because it is really strong, plentiful, and biodegradable. As a matter of fact, some people place Jute as the second most important fiber after cotton since it is used industrially (a backer for linoleum and a base for carpeting), in agriculture (potato sacks and ties for bulk bunches of things like cotton and veggies), our shoes (voila!), and for household items (rugs and other fabrics).
