The Samsung SGH-E250 mobile was introduced in 2006 as an entry level version of the Samsung D900 (The ULTRA edition 12.9) mobile. The E250 has very similar features to the D900, however the screen resolution is roughly half that of the D900 and the camera is only 1.3MP compared to the D900's 3MP camera.

In 2009, Samsung Electronics also introduced the SGH-E250i, a dual band variant version of the SGH-E250, for Gsm 900 and 1800 MHz networks. The Samsung SGH-E250i, which has the same design of the E250, has an 800 mAh battery [1] instead of E250's 750 mAh [2] and features Vga camera, 2.0 display, bluetooth, mp3 player and FM radio with recording.

Samsung SGH-E250 got its successor in the form of SGH-E250i, in 2009, which was a dual band variant, for 1800 MHz and GSM 900 networks. The Samsung SGH-E250 has design pretty much like the D900, expect for the Menu Key, which here was a tad big. The phone has a slide out design, and slide opening the phone reveals the keyboard of the phone having End, Menu, Talk and directional pad of the phone are placed on its top half, while the number keys are on the part that slides out from the phone. The Samsung SGH-E250 was launched in five colors: silver, black, lilac and pink and in crystal.
