Plain Gift Tags Views
I have never purchased gift tags--they are fun and easy to make, and if you keep extra ones, they will be ready at a moment's notice. A group of five tags also makes a good last minute present. Gift tags have several purposes: extra-large tags become the center of attention on boxes wrapped in plain kraft paper, and small ones serve as an ID card on a livelier background providing only the names of the recipient and the giver.
Gift tags made from wrapping paper are easy to make and are guaranteed to match your package. Gift-wrap is usually flimsier than you want a gift tag to be. Fix this by gluing it to a piece of stiffer material. Index cards, card stock, or the blank part of an old greeting card all work for this. You can cover the whole card with gift paper, or cut out one design and glue it to a plain background. They can be folded and you can write on the plain card inside, or you can write on the plain background of the unfolded version.
Made from stationery-store supplies, ribbon pieces, and a hole punch, these gift tags are inexpensive and fun to create (clockwise from top left): The kraft-paper leaves have pinked edges, with a bunch of millinery berries and a velvet ribbon threaded through a hole punched in the corner. A round paper tag and a holly sprig are affixed with a narrow ribbon to a backdrop of two silver-foil seals glued together. A red ribbon and a miniature-sled ornament embellish a green stationery tag. Tiny glass balls, a boxwood sprig, and gold organdy ribbon dress a round key tag. A mini pinecone, balsam sprig, and gold bell adorn a red stationery tag. A crisp plaid ribbon and silk leaves turn a plain piece of white paper into a charming gift tag.
We have several ways that you can print our Gift Tags. One is to use plain card stock and after you print them from our PDF, use scissors or a paper-cutter to cut them out. Another is to buy pre-scored business card sheets and use our files that are formatted to go with these sheets using MSWord or any program that you have that will open a Word file. (.doc) . These DOC files should work with any standard 10 per page Business Card paper. We are also offering the graphics as individual images in the size you can import or paste into your own printing program that uses its own templates or wizard to print these gift tags on preformatted business cards.Â
