Panasonic Vs7 Views
For a phone with a 2.0-megapixel camera, this phone is attractively priced. The VS7 has a one-push button at the hinge to flip it open. First-timers will find it difficult because the phone can fly out of your hand if not gripped tightly. The phone features an exchangeable cover but to change the cover you have to remove 4 screws. I found it difficult and unnecessary. For the camera, I would say the pictures captured were good and had the right color balance and saturation. Sadly, the digital zoom is very jerky and slow to respond. Another flaw of the phone was the battery life. Because of its big screen, the battery ran dry in 2 days. Heavy users should consider getting a spare battery. If you are looking for a clampshell phone with a good camera, the Panasonic VS7 is the phone for you.
VS7 is a stylish and versatile model of the Panasonic Company. The 16 million colors in its TFT screen enhance the beauty of the pictures immensely. External CSTN display is one of the many commendable qualities of this handset. 500 phonebook entries can be stored in it along with last 50 dialed numbers, 50 received calls and 20 missed calls. Its memory is also wide with 30 MB for shared memory and 2 MB for MMS.
I have use the VS7 for 3 years. Its a nice phone except the reception is poor and the speaker is very week. I thought it looked cool and I don't know how it got labled as ugle. I found the camera to be outstanding which you would expect from Panasonic, with a built in optical macro which was the best in its class in its day. If your in a city its OK but on the fringes its very anoying becuase you can't hear clearly what the person is saying. I will be buying a new phone soon and I would buy a Panasonic again if they were making them just for the camera alone. Regards Mark
According to Panasonic, VS stands for Visual Slim, so obviously slimness is one of the major selling points of this device. The weight is a reasonable 113g (3.98oz). Measuring 102mm x 51mm x 18.8mm (4.01 x 2 x 0.74 ), the VS7 is neither the smallest nor the thinnest handset around, but to include a 2 megapixel camera, a 2.5? QVGA screen, and a sub display, Panasonic has done a great job in making it very pocketable.
