PALO ALTO, United States s– Last week, we introduced the free, open source FCam platform for the Nokia N900 together with the sample applications that the team has made available to download. The software was created through a partnership between Stanford University and the Nokia Research Center in Palo Alto. Wi-Fi and 3.5G connectivity provides fast access to Internet. Take high quality photos and wide screen videos using 5Mpix camera with Carl Zeiss optics. Tag photos and browse them using the tag cloud, and see where images were taken with the automatic geotagging. Merge your phone book, Skype contacts and other contacts into an all-in-one address book. And naturally, N900 has a phone application for voice calls.

Here are some fresh new high quality pictures of the Nokia N900. Nokia is going to launch Nokia Rover RX-51 or N900 based on Maemo and it is expected that an announcement will be made at Nokia World on September 2-3. Mobile Review has released some pictures and specifications of upcoming Nokia Rover which will be commonly known as the Nokia N900. Its is the direct successor to the N810 and successor to the N800 and 770 Internet Tablets.
