Since the project's start in 2004, more than 150,000 postcards have made it to Warren; many ended up on the Web site, numerous others in books. Warren's newest title, PostSecret: Confessions on Life, Death, and God, will be on sale Oct. 6, but in the meantime, be sure to check out his other PostSecret books A Lifetime of Secrets: A PostSecret Book (2007), The Secret Lives of Men and Women: A PostSecret Book (2007), My Secret: A PostSecret Book (2006) and PostSecret: Extraordinary Confessions from Ordinary Lives (2005).

Frank: PostSecret started as a lark, maybe even a prank, but over the years the secrets have become more meaningful to me. This new book, like all the books have never-before-seen secrets that touch on sexual taboos and some outlandish humor, but more than the other books, the new book has postcards that share some our deepest and most private feelings about the greatest mysteries of life. The parts that are always there beneath the surface but we sometimes forget about during our everyday lives.

At the beginning of 2005, Frank Warren launched a new blog called PostSecret as an experiment in community art, inviting strangers to mail him anonymous postcards that made art out of their innermost secrets and then posting a selection of the cards every week on his blog. Within a year, his blog was one of the five most popular in the world, and his first book, PostSecret, was one of the surprise bestsellers of 2005. My Secret is his second book, a collection of cards from teens and college students--none of which has been shown on the website--that carries the same emotional power and creativity that have made Warren's project a phenomenon.
