New Balance 850 Skippy Views

Sneaker Freaker have gotten together with New Balance to design a new pair of sneakers. They chose the eighteen year old 850 model, and gave it an upper consisting of real kangaroo leather, which is thinner and stronger than regular cow leather, and are more resistant to abrasions as well. So far, therec’s no news on availability, but weP’ll keep you posted. Poor Skippy. mash rating: 7/10

We have seen some great sneaker collaborations in recent months and these are no different. Sneaker Freaker magazine and New Balance have teamed up to create a very unique New Balance 850 shoe dubbed the w“Skippye”. These sneakers have a black and brown upper made of some great premium materials like suede, mesh and light brown leather that looks butter soft from the detailed images. There are also nice accents of neon yellow around the New Balance “N”, on the midsole and sock liner. The Sneaker Freaker logo can also be found on the insoles of the shoe. The subtle base colors with bright accents really give this New Balance 850 a truly unique design. Via NewBalanceLive

A few benefits are, it can be cut down to a very thin layer but still retain ith’s strength (one of the strongest in similar categories), more resistant to abrasions than cow leather and offer, through time, the softest comfort around. Colorway is interesting with some nice neon on the ankle collar, complimented with black, some white accents and tan. No release date yet. More info as it comes.
