Muvo Slim Views
The Creative Muvo Slim is a compact MP3 player with a small LCD screen allowing you to see information about the content you're playing. Unfortunately, this device is no longer being sold on the Creative website, but it does have a knowledge base of software and updates that can be downloaded for the device that will assist with troubleshooting. Sometimes, the Muvo may be beyond repair, and it may be a better option to purchase an up-to-date Creative MP3 player.
Format the Muvo in case there is a specific file that is causing the Muvo's function. Back up your content by connecting the Muvo to the computer and dragging all the files onto the desktop in a folder that you can later retrieve. Navigate to Start, My computer and look for the external hard drive representing the Muvo Slim. Right click and select Format. Formatting will erase all data from the device.
Update the firmware on the Muvo Slim. Connect the Muvo to your computer and navigate to Creative's website and click the Support link and look for the Muvo Slim. The second link on the Muvo Slim's page will be updating the firmware. The firmware is the MP3 players operating system, and when outdated many components will not function.
