Milk Bones Views
Yup. I never used to get bugs in milk bones boxes before but lately EVERY SINGLE box of milk bones I buy is infested with them. I returned the last box I bought to the supermarket and went back over to the shelf where they sell them, looked behind all the boxes and, wouldn't you know it, dead weevils ALL OVER THE SHELVES. I started buying the store-brand equivalent because they come in heavy plastic re-sealable bags.
What's with the Milk Bone bugs... ? Second box purchased weeks after the first infestation also contains the bugs... Like other posters, took the bones out of the box and put them into a large plactic ziplock only to find the bag full of burrowing, crawling, thriving bugs... I've sent a note to Del Monte and am awaiting word back.
I bought the large breed biscuits by mistake n my dog had loose stool - badly. So we stopped I purchased small ones. His stool was solid again but at the bottom of our dog cookie jar was a couple of the large bones we gave him yesterday - he has loose stool again. We do not have children so he is our son (Rottweiler) and I am so upset that this happening. Thank you all for all your voices. I am throwing out all our milk bones
I came to post on this sight for the very same reason!!! I keep finding those pieces of plastic, sharp strings, like fishing line, in my milkbones, too. I break them in half. I am SICK to know that some folks who don't break them may have accidentally given their dogs these things! What can we do about it? POST IT EVERYWHERE.
