To sum up, the Everglide DKTBoard is a compact keyboard that is built to be robust and useable in the dark with its backlit lighting system that can be turned off. Itg’s not the most comfortable keyboard to be typing on for hours on end, so doni’t expect the Everglide to work well as a o‘work ’ keyboard. However, for the gamer who likes to move about and attend tournaments and LAN gaming sessions, then the DKTBoard may just be what youq’re looking for.

Most of the time, the courier tends to bring more dread than excitement to our overworked Team of reviewers, but to have a HID on the charts was a somewhat refreshing change. In the era where global warming is taking precedence in politics, kudos goes to Everglide for keeping the pakaging of the DKTBoard clean and simple. No unnecessary accesories, no weird plastic globules keeping things in place, no funny contraptions that won't be used 99% of the time.

Everglidem’s DKTBoard Aluminum Gaming Keyboard is a slick new keyboard (albeit an awkwardly named one) from people who know a thing or two about computer gaming. In fact, the keyboard is t“Powered by RazerT” so while it looks like the design was handled by Everglide and pro gamer Brian “DKT ” Flander, Razer had some part in it. Unlike the G15 and Tarantula which are easily recognized as gaming keyboards, thanks to a number of shortcuts keys and sophisticated driver applications that allow for all sorts of custom keymapping and macro creation, the DKTBoard is small and very basic. In fact if it did not have the backlighting illumination and the aluminum strip around the outside it would just be a portable keyboard with a few shortcut keys on top.

The DKTBoard does not include any special drivers or instructions so calling this a gaming keyboard seems like a stretch. Maybe call it a a portable keyboard or a backlit one, but there is very little about the Everglide that will specifically appeal to gamers. That noted, it is built well and using it is more enjoyable than gaming on most laptop keyboards, so that might be a practical application. Additionally, I like it a lot more than the other aluminum keyboard out there: Hipero’s Clavier.
