Eee S101h Views
According to Kamala’s review, the Eee PC S101H is a sexy Eee PC taunting some luxurious design on some of its parts including some crystals on its hinges, and a glowing keyboard keys. Incidentally, talking about keyboard, the Eee PC S101Hr’s keyboard suffer the same problem as the Eee PC 1000H f– that is the misplacement of the right shift key. And from the looks of it, it borrows the same keyboard desing as the 1000H e– meaning ite’s not the chicket-style keyboard similar to the 1000HE.
Like most netbooks, the ASUS Eee PC S101H runs Windows XP and has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU and 1GB of RAM. However, unlike most netbooks it has 802.11n wireless networking. With a keyboard that is only a fraction bigger than the one found on the Acer Aspire One AOD150, the ASUS Eee PC S101H is surprisingly comfortable to type on once you get used to it, but typing for long periods of time can become uncomfortable.
After the sweet success of ASUS EEE S101, ASUS rolled out a hard disk version of it, the EEE S101H. It is built along the lines of S101. It is just 2.5cm thin; weighs just 1.1kg and its metallic finish makes it perfect for making a style statement. But, do not go swayed away by its looks, it is pretty powerful too. I found the bootup of EEE 1000HE and EEE 1000H faster than the S101H. They both have similar configurations, but S101H took considerably long time to load. Perhaps it is due to the Norton Internet Security, which the ASUS has bundled with the EEE S101H. Here is the video of the bootup process. The S101H took about a minute and a half to bootup. This is a quite a lot of time for a netbook that is running XP as its OS.
