Dyches Boddiford grew up on a farm in rural South Georgia, 10 miles from the small town of Sylvania. Though he was not too interested in farming, he took every chance to learn about construction, wiring and plumbing. He had an interest in science from an early age that was recognized and encouraged by several teachers.

Dyches Boddiford has been investing in real estate since 1980 and is a national speaker. Dyches Boddiford has been a real estate investor since 1980. In 1986 he formed The Oaks Group, Inc. which, is his real estate corporation and has since devoted his time to speak about his successes and teach others how they can own apartments, single-family homes, mobile homes, land development, buying discount mortgages, and making mortgage loans. He's bought and sold properties using Land Trusts. He's also a Past President of Georgia Real Estate Investors Association.
