Ds I 3d Views
Nintendo (NTDOY) this morning held a kick-off event in New York City for the 3D version of its DS handheld game console. The device, which will be available on March 27th, will retail for $249.99, and features two screens, like the previous DS, with the difference that the upper screen displays games, videos and photos in 3D, without the need for special glasses.
@mogulust Yeah, I've seen some of the latest glasses-free 3D monitors and they're pretty impressive (although the resolution seems to take a hit, but that's Nintendo for ya, amirite?). Considering that they only work within a certain view angle it makes perfect sense to put one on a handheld console like the DS.And considering how Nintendo cycles through their devices (DS being an homage to the Game.Watch) we should have seen this homage to the VirtuaBoy coming... RIGHT AT YOU!!
The original Picross was a hit in two dimensions. See what the popular puzzler can do when it adds a third dimension! Picross 3D starts with a big box of three-dimensional blocks. Follow numerical clues to reshape the structure as you try and uncover the object that lurks inside. Hammer away blocks that don't belong and mark the ones you want to keep. There are 350 objects, symbols, and shapes just waiting to be found. Build your own custom challenges and share them with friends locally, or upload them into a monthly contest. Each month, the winning puzzle will be showcased in a free download offered to every Picross 3D player.
