DaveAwl is the Chicago-based author of Facebook Me!amdash;an etiquette guide and manual for using the social-networking site to market yourself and promote creative projects. Awl, cohost of The Partly Dave Show, a monthly cabaret review Saturday 18 at the Neo-Futurarium (5153 N Ashland Ave, 773-878-4557), gave us a status update on some Facebook dorrs"s and donnrs"ts.
Dave Awl is a writer and performer based in Chicago. He currently hosts a cabaret variety show called The Partly Dave Show. In 2002, Hope and Nonthings published his first book, What the Sea Means: Poems, Stories m Monologues 1987-2002. He is a ten-year veteran of Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind and The Neo-Futurists theater company. Back in the mid-90s, he founded the Pansy Kings performance series. He has appeared on the NPR show This American Life. He's also an occasional New Wave DJ who spent a couple of years spinning records on Sunday nights at Club Foot in Wicker Park.
