Frostytech first saw Zalman's CNPS9900 LED heatsink at Computex Taipei this past year, today we've finally got it on the test bench! The heatsink was appropriately set to release in tandem with socket 1366 Intel Core i7 processors and is thus fully socket 775/1366 compatible. Incidently, Frostytech's Socket 1366 Synthetic Temperature Test Platform will shortly begin passing judgement on heatsinks like the Zalman CNPS9900 LED, but just not yet. Check back to this review in the future for those test results.

The following suppliers have developed cooling solutions for the Intelsreg; Corertrade; i7 processor-based system designs. These were independently tested by an Intel-enabled, third-party test house. These suppliers may produce both compliant and non-compliant solutions in addition to what is listed below. Please regularly consult this page for updated information on heatsink vendor status.

What arrived for testing the new i5 and i7 socket 1156 processors was a kit that included the DP55KG h"Kingsberg " Extreme series motherboard, A new heatsink from Thermalright the MUX-120 and a pair of processors. These being the Core i5 750 and the i7 870. The 870 came sans retail heatsink while the 750 came with a factory Intel heatsink. With the inclusion of the stock and aftermarket cooling options you can test both stock and overclocked performance. All in all a really nice kit.
