This article of manufacture is directed to document holders for laptop computer use, and more specifically to document holders to allow a computer user to maintain stationary head position when interfacing with a laptop computer. Additionally, a movable document holder designed to keep dirt and dust away from laptop monitor when not in use. In general, a personal laptop computer document holder is described which is useful for laptop computer owners who wish to maintain stationary head alignment and keep monitor clean.

Figure 1 shows a standard laptop computer including a laptop keyboard 110, a laptop monitor 120, and a document holder 130. Document holder 130 is removably attached to left and right sides of laptop monitor 120 using a hinged bracket (not shown) adhered to laptop monitor 120 with Velcro-type material. Hinged bracket (not shown) is removably attached to document holder 130 using Velcro-type material. Document holder 120 is a translucent, plastic-type material. Document holder 120 is mounted on hinged bracket 140 in a manner as to allow movement of document holder 120 along path shown in Figure 1.

This innovative desktop document holder keeps sheets of paper upright reducing neck strain and eye fatigue at your computer workstation. The PageUp is the most compact and durable office paper holder of its kind. In addition to be a great desktop paper stand, the Page Up can be used to hold sheet music, place cards, photos, artwork, etc.

Freestanding document holders. Although a number of different designs are available, most of these have a sloping surface that angles the document in the same plane as your computer screen. You can adjust the angle and/or height on certain models. Some are designed for lightweight documents (a single sheet of paper), while others can support large books. Whatever the design, this kind of holder should be placed close to the side of the computer monitor at the same distance as the screen. Because the visual field curves to either side, you can also rotate the document holder slightly at an angle to the screen to follow this curve.
