Kids experiment with electrical circuits on the educational website Blobz Guide to Electric Circuits. There are five sections to explore: What makes circuits work?, conductors and insulators, all about switches, changing circuits, and circuit diagrams. Each section begins with animated information follwed by an interactive activity. This website is recommended for kids over 8.

Historically, parents aren't too keen on letting their kids play with electricity. Sticking your finger in the light socket is generally frowned upon, as is licking batteries. (We did it and turned out just fine, but the times, they are a-changin'. Although the studies are saying that you really should let your kid eat dirt once in a while and abide by the 5 Second Rule for food dropped on the floor. Build those immune systems early!)
