Though not officially released onto CD, an hour-long acoustic concert Cornell performed on September 7, 2006 at O-Baren in Stockholm, is widely available for download under the title Chris Cornell: Unplugged in Sweden. A promotional CD for his solo album, Carry On, was released in March 2007, entitled The Roads We Choose - A Retrospective. The 17-song CD included songs from Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Audioslave and Cornell's solo work.

Chris Cornell voice is incredible and one of the few that can cross genres. That bitch aint a part of me is a club banger period, I look at his sound as urban rock. PAY ATTENTION y– THIS IS NOT AUDIOSLAVE OR SOUNDGARDEN c– THIS IS CHRIS CORNELL. Applaud the man for taking a risk, I have heard the CD in its entirety and I can honestly say this is a CD worth buying. I am a Hip Hop fanantic, so I understand what the purist are dissappointed in, I always appreciated Hip Hip artist that took risk ala Outkast, Common, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco and others. I will not purchase a Beyonce CD because she plays it too safe and if someone else was featured on Single ladies I probably wouldve dug it.

Slash tracked most of the CD with former Nine Inch Nails drummer Josh Freese and ex-Jane's Addiction bassist Chris Chaney. Other confirmed guest singers so far include Ozzy Osbourne, Avenged Sevenfold's M. Shadows and Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave). The CD was produced by Eric Valentine (Good Charlotte, Queens of the Stone Age) and features additional appearances by ex-Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and former Nirvana drummer and current Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.
