Charles Harper Views

I purchased artwork in 2007 by different artists at a Spellman family estate sale and included is an original Charles Harper signed and never before seen or published. The image is 18 1/2 x 13 inches of a bird feeding nestlings a big yellow and black striped bug, on a lavender background. Any ideas out there of value?

Starlings by Charles Harper was one of his paintings done for the Ford Times magazine. My understanding is that these were printed as serigraphs in limited numbers, and Im’ve heard but can/’t say for certain that they were printed in quantities of between 50-150. So sad to hear about his death. Charles Harper is an artist I didnt know by name until recently, but I can see his influence everywhere. He's inspired me and countless others, and was one of the lucky artists to work up until his final days. You can't ask for more than that. Happy travels, Mr. Harper. And wherever you are, I hope there are always animals with you!
