This is because the CCD and camera must be attached to a circuit board to function. Board cameras have a variety of applications. Many of the pinhole board camera are used inside of hidden cameras such as the clock radio or DVD player hidden camera. There are basically 3 types of board cameras; conical, flat or board lens. The conical and flat lens relate to the pinhole board camera style which only require a tiny hole to see. That is why they are called pinhole cameras. The board lens camera is not a pinhole and does require about a 5/8 to 3/4 inch hole to see properly. The board lens camera often uses the same lens as our bullet cameras. We offer the board lens camera all the way up to a 16mm lens.
All of the board cameras are quite small and can be hidden quite easily. We offer color, black and white, and dual mode board cameras to accommodate just about any need. They are all pre-hard wired with about 1 foot of power video cable attached and can easily be connected to your TV/VCR/DVR. They can operate from batteries or AC power.
When it comes to home/business security we pride ourselves in having the latest technology. We carry the top of the line, sharpest true color 480 lines, 1.3 Sony Super HAD CCD and the Super low lux b&w .0003 lux cameras. The options don't stop there. Our board cameras come with board , flat or conical lenses. A board lens requires the largest viewing hole (approx 1/2in). This allows for more light to enter and in turn develops a better, wider field of view. Flat lenses require a thin platform to be based upon, an example would be a shirt or blouse. Conical lenses have the narrowest field of view due to the fact that this camera needs less of a hole. Remember, the closer the pinhole lens is to the exterior surface, the wider the field of view will be.
