After playing finger style guitar for years and having to deal with busted fingernails I saw Alaska Piks in Musician's Friend Catalogue. I thought it could't hurt to give them a try. Wow, what an improvement. No more fingernail problems. I can play faster, smoother and louder than I could before. You will need to keep your fingernails a bit longer in order to anchor the picks in place which isn't big deal. You will be able to get used to them in under an hour. If they haven't already won a prize for best new product they should. The plastic ones work best for me although the brass have a great sound too.
