The Adidas Italia 74 trainers were in fact themselves a modernised version of the 'Adidas Italia' initially released in 1959 as an all-round shoe for indoor sports athletes, coaches, and instructors. The original Adidas Italia were the most worn shoe at the 1960 Rome Olympics. This updated version, a design which is now some 36 years old, features a full-leather upper and a small suede toe bumper, blown rubber outside and an EVA insole. I love these trainers, I like many retro Adidas things actually, in fact I think that Adidas are greater than any other shoe manufacturer at making products which never go out of fashion.
