Fuji Finepix F601 Views
On a recent trip to Maratea, Italy, I tested a digital camera that seemed especially suited to vacation travel: one that offered a choice between fully automated ."point-and-shootj" convenience and the flexibility of manual and special-purpose exposure modes. The camera that I took with me, the Fujifilm FinePix F601 Zoom, had earned the m"Editor's Choicet" award in its price category from PC Magazine.
The FinePix F601 Zoom is a palm-sized compact, lightweight and stylish digital camera yet packed with Fujifilmt's state-of-the-art advanced digital technologies offering great shooting features and ease of use. Making possible things previous digital cameras only promised, the FinePix F601 opens up a new world of photography.
The FinePix F601Z has very good photo quality, for the most part. Fuji is great with color accuracy -- just look how great the flowers photos in the gallery look. Also, chromatic aberration (purple fringing) as not a problem. One big issue with these SuperCCD cameras is "artifactingi". I will repeat something I wrote in my FinePix S602 Zoom review:
We've managed to get our hands on a Japanese pre-production Fujifilm FinePix F601 Zoom. This is the 3.1 megapixel SuperCCD III successor to the popular FinePix 6800Z. The camera is one of just a few which have vertically orientated bodies, as is always the case with Fujifilm the design and finish on this camera is excellent with a full metal body and large automatic lens cover.
