Under Armour Board Shorts Views
Some people claim they wear boxers underneath in order to avoid a rash of some sort, or it's just more comfortable, etc. I call bullshit. There's is nothing worse than having wet boxers an hour after your board shorts have dried. The rash thing is just ridiculous. All that cotton is going to do is soak up more salt and be more uncomfortable when they dry (they get stiff).
I personally don't. The point of board shorts is to be quick drying and adding an extra layer (underwear) is going to slow that down. If you feel you have to wear something, I would recommend a pair of Speedos (or something similar). This will support your boys and still be quick drying. Just make sure that the board shorts stay on because no one wants to see someone in a banana hammock unless you are swimming for a gold medal.

For physical comfort if you don't care whether surf snobs think you look like a 'tourist,' I imagine a number of people, like me, want some support, and I was just worried that compression shorts would essentially fall down under your board shorts, if you're in a surf of any intensity at all, and they would just bunch up all around your crotch. Sound like people aren't experiencing that, so great. The way my john thomas goes when I'm a bit cold and wet, it is really uncomfortable, physically and psychologically, in board shorts without some support and compression. Though I don't care if I look weird for having an undergarment, I wouldn't be okay exposing everyone to me in a speedo, but that sure would feel good. Nude would be best, but I live in Georgia. Not a lot of nude beaches.
