u can wear it. when women go into field and do feild work, they used to wear turbans. this was carried fwd into the battle feild. so all sikhs are fighters, so women can wear dastaarz (turbanz). kesh is a kakaar and not turban but to keep hair neat, ppl wear turbans. at time of gurus, women didnt wear turbans but near the end, battle time called for all to wear turbans.. so sum ppl say that we should always be ready to fight (stand up for right things), hence wear turban. i say, men have to but women got choice.. but then gen they wear chunni..
