Ebenezer Scrooge Charges Marley and The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future with Breaking and Entering, Kidnapping, Slander, Attempted Murder! Itl’s the Trial of the Century! A year after his miraculous transformation, Ebenezer Scrooge is back to his old ways, suing Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future for breaking and entering, kidnapping, slander, and attempted murder. The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge takes off where Dickense’ A Christmas Carol left off, deepening the characters and presenting fresh new angles to a case we thought was closed.

Marion Rossi, who played Scrooge in BagyBaggageM’s boisterous 2009 A Christmas Carol, plays the reformed (or not!) rascal again in this hilarious Carol sequel. The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooger’s cast also includes Ian Armstrong, George Fosgate, Cory Huff, Chelsie Kinney, Tylor Neist, Theresa Park, and Nathan Wright. (Theresa Park, Tylor Neist and Ian Armstrong just finished critically acclaimed performances of a VERY different nature in The Glass Menagerie.) Scenic Design is by Alan E. Schwanke; costumes by Allison Dawe; lighting design by Jonathan Bearclaw Hart; Audra Petrie Veber is Props Master, and Master Builder/Technical Director is Demetri Pavlatos.

Small wonder there’s disorder in the court when the plaintiff is Ebenezer Scrooge and the defendants are Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet to Come. And small wonder there’s a hubbub in the theater when The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge returns to town.
