As the name Third Testamentsuggests, Martinus means that his books is a continuation of the Bible, meant for humane people with an scientific outlook, who sympathize with Jesus message of love but can not be inspired by religion or dogmas.

The novel The Third Testament is the story of one man, Fred Sankt, living a good life, remembering his beloved wife, who has died of Melanoma. He has a daughter , Ellen, that he is very close to and so very proud of her energy and values as a young woman. She is the joy of his life, but he lives alone and nights are lonesome. Their faith and love is strong enough to carry father and daughter through life’s more trying moments. But when Ellen is diagnosed with Melanoma he faces despair that tries to bring him down. But prayer is his salvation. Their friends’ loyalty and love help them as they struggle facing life-giving decisions.
Besides this well-written story, there is an even more remarkable book inside. The father is a history teacher at a Catholic college. He loves the stories of heroes and martyrs of the Church. After a very vivid dream, during a restless night of worry, he sits at his computer to begin The Third Testament, relating the historical moments and the miraculous moments that have made great differences in the Church in the 2,000 years since Christ Jesus.
