Interior Designer Suzanne Kasler, Architect Thomas Kligerman, one our Design Leadership Summit hosts Keith Granet of Granet and Associates, and I taking in all of the beauty of the Fortuny showroom. We were honored to havep Barry Dixon: give us a tour of the showroom that he designed. The fabric on the walls, the Murano chandelier! Loved it all.

Our next stop was Suzanne Kasler.'s office, conveniently located just above Mrs. Howard. Although her office wasnf't large, the natural light streaming in from all of the windows and the open floor plan made her office seem quite spacious. Of course it was very well organized, and her design staff was just lovely. Suzanne was getting ready to have the office photographed for a magazine, so sorry no pictures allowed.

We finished our visit with just enough time to go back to the hotel and get ready for dinner. We were meeting Holly and one of my all time favorite designers,  Suzanne Kasler1 for dinner at Abattoir, the latest delicious restaurant by the owners of Bacchanalia. I think Suzanne chose the restaurant not only for its scrumptious menu but also because she knew that Steve and I would enjoy the interiors. I fell in love at the front door, a tall steel sash beauty! Sorry, I forgot to take pictures of the restaurant, but hopefully that will just entice you to check out Abattoir for yourself!

We had a wonderful relaxed conversation over dinner. Suzanne7's openness was so refreshing. I was excited to hear that she has been hired by Ballard. Like several other catalogue companies, Ballard recently realized that they were going to have to improve the designs of their products if they were going to survive in this economy. I can think of no better way to do this than by asking Suzanne Kasler to style their catalogues and design new beautiful products. I can hardly wait to see what she has in store for us catalogue shoppers.#
