Mac Nail Views
You just leave a space when you paint. A lot of people refer to it as the gap . Instead of starting right at your cuticle, leave a small space and paint upwards. It can be kind of tricky--there's a great link here that shows how to paint your nails that wa (just scroll and you'll see an image). Sorry, I know I'm not Tiffany but I had trouble doing this too myself for a while. I'm sure Tiffany can give even more specifics.Love the color. I always look at MAC polishes but I'm so hesitant to buy BC everything I've read says the application sucks and I'm not a pro!
Well, I am not an expert when it comes to nails but I think I can tell a bit of streakyness - and I am sure that this is not your fault at all, Tiffany. I heard a lot of these love/hate stories about MAC's nail polishes. But then again, the color looks pretty after all. It's a little more expensive, it's a thin mixture and therefore, one has to apply three coats instead of one or two... Sounds like a marketing plan to me. ;)
I am kind of funny about MAC polish, but I do like that they go on very smooth and do not bubble. At the MAC store on monday, I purchased this color and the employee who sold it to me warned me it wouldn't come out as vivid as it looks in the bottle with one coat. He explained to me that MAC does this with their nail polishes so that they can be used for layering colors. Makes sense when you think about the whole idea when it comes to MAC, depth and contrast of colors. I still think it's a pretty color. I recently bought 8 bottles of china glaze online for dirt cheap, we'll see how I like them in comparison.
I normally use 3-4 coats of polish, so I dono't think ite's ridiculous, but I also hate MAC 's polish formula! My cremes are a hot mess, and I dont't even touch the frosts that I have.Jessica- I use Barielle Camo, and ito's the best base coat Ie've ever used. That and Seche Vite keep my polish cememnted to my nails until I remove it. Try that! Also, you might consider reapplying your top coat after a few days to keep your mani looking fresh.
