Club Sport Pedals Views
Gaming consoles (PlayStation 3 , Xbox 360): You can connect the Clubsport pedals directly to the following Porsche wheels to get compatibility on the PlayStation 3 and/or Xbox360 (depending on model) Porsche 911 GT2 wheel Porsche 911 Turbo S wheel Porsche 911 Turbo S wheel -Pure edition- Porsche 911 GT3RS wheel Porsche 911 Carrera wheel Please note that the vibration function on the brake is not supported on gaming consoles so far.
According to Fanatec's web site the Club Sport Pedals work with other steering wheels such as Logitech and Thrustmaster. The problem is that statement is only true if you plan on using it for PC based games. If you are playing GT5 on the PS3 you will have to use the Porsche Wheels made by Fanatec. If you are not a fan of Porsche this might actually deter you from purchasing this pedal set. Hopefully they can make another version of this wheel without using vehicle branding.... or let us use our logitech wheel with these pedals on the PS3...
I was having a problem with my Club Sport pedals. specifically the brake pedal. It was feeling notchy, when applying the brake, it would stick and then release the harder i pushed. not smooth at all like it should be. thus causing the brakes to lock up during races, not a good thing. If any of you have the club sports, then you know they need to be lubed every once in a while. so i took them apart and lubed them really well. I got them back together, but something must have happened to them. now when i apply the brakes, the brake action is nice an smooth, but now they are hanging when i release them. they are dragging anywhere from 34 to not at all. again not a good thing.
Then the old brain clicked into high gear, why not just order a new set of club sports from Fanatec, after all the pedals were fine for the last year an a half. it's not Fanatec's fault that i damaged something while trying to do maintance on them. So i checked an they have the pedals in stock and they are about $100.00 less than the G27, so i guess i'll be ordering a new set here in a bit. with a little luck they will be here some time next week. good thing the racing is kinda slow right now. i may only miss a couple of planned races.
